Bymaria Re-elected for a second term as Prime Minister, New Cabinet
Regional Survey Results
Recently, residents of the region have been asked to complete a questionnaire on Londinium under the Bymarian administration. We have collected the results to share with you. Of the 11 people who have taken the survey so far, most answered that they were not a member of the party and 63.6% of respondents had been a member of the Union since before Bymaria's first term.
When asked to rate the Bymarian administration on a scale of 1 -10, the median result was 9, with a high of 10 and a low of 6. The Prime Minister stated his satisfaction with these ratings, but also expressed his desire to increase them by the end of his tenure.
People had mixed ratings on the judiciary, with a median of 4/5 a high of 5/5 and low of 2/5. There have been many bills submitted to parliament on the topic of the judiciary and their procedures. The three justices each maintain a strong presence in Londinium.
Members were also asked (optional response) what they thought our next steps to improving the region should be. 4 responses spoke about continuing to develop connections with larger regions and developing a foreign affairs policy, something currently being worked on by both Chief Diplomat Nyelant and Prime Minister Bymaria. Nyelant had the success of opening an embassy with Caer Sidi and Bymaria has negotiated for a forum embassy with The Galactic Order.
The efficiency of Parliament was called into question when 27% of the sample saying they were only "satisfactory" in fulfilling their duties. A majority said that they were somewhat efficient.

The questionnaire discovered that most people believe that there should be no specific priority of the new government, however many agreed recruitment and the integration of new members are important. Every person asked recognized their contentment and pride in the region.
Everyone who contributed to the results were asked their opinion on the development of The Royal Militia, which has proven a contentious topic in recent weeks. As you can see from the chart below, there was equal disagreement on whether or not the military should be used for raiding. One person asked disagreed entirely with the prospect of a military.

One user who took the survey commented at the end "We should include in the roleplay section a list of events [that] happened in the main roleplay to keep track of what's going on". Head of Roleplay, Nesearan, indicated his approval of this idea and the PM has since proposed a timeline to track events. Bymaria has reportedly requested that a new section of the forum be created for roleplay as it expands, with folders for each different version.
Special Parliamentary Election Results, Cabinet Reshuffle
By Bymaria
Subsequent to the recent influx of new nations, Londinium called on a special election to be held. Above is a chart of the results, the three candidates with the most votes - namely Nyelant, Austria-Hungary and Pontustan - have emerged as our newest Members of Parliament (MP). These elections have increased activity and awareness of our legislature, MP Nyelant and Southern Augerdiam drafting a bill about legislative reform already.
We've gathered the statement from Nyelant, candidate who received the most votes, announcing his candidacy:
"I am a non-partisan, independent nation who is not a member of any party. Therefore I believe, that under a constitutional monarchy, the institution of democracy must be protected. I will make sure to communicate frequently with the AoA to hear their opinions on legistation that has not yet passed in Parliament. I will make sure to amend bills to make sure they fit the best interests of Londinium, and sometimes that may mean that I will go against what I actually think, if it means protecting the right of individual nations to choose for themselves. To all the members of the Assembly, I am a small nation, pretty new to the game, just like many of the nations in the Assembly. I believe that by electing me, the small nations in the assembly (who are the majority) will have the most powerful voice, even if they are not the most powerful nations. Make the right choice!"
In the wake of a recent failed coup attempt by Saint Ehm, speaker of the Assembly, it seems that Prime Minister Bymaria has begun to reassess his cabinet as on Monday 6th November on the RMB he announced:
"As part of a cabinet reshuffle, Nyelant will become our next Chief Diplomat and I'll be holding a constructive contest in which we share ideas for a new recruitment telegram, the winner becoming Minister of Population and receiving 5,000 stamps additional to telegrams that I will send."
A government aide commented "This declaration sends a clear message to the public and the rest of his Cabinet: that we must maintain a strong government. Despite the obviously flawed coup - which was unanimously rejected by the region - I have every confidence in the Prime Minister's leadership."

Borders Close, Tensions Rise
By Cochardia
Tensions are rising along the European Peninsula as many of the countries close in on each other leaving small spaces in between. This is due to a rapid rate of expansion carried out by the surrounding countries, leading to small disputes along borders. Many believe at this rate a European War could commence to find the powers within the region. Many were taken aback by the rising tensions that overtook the Balkans, as many European powers went into a small dispute. Cochardia and Bymaria, along with the German Empire, took suit into a small brawl with the Austro-Hungarian Empire at his expansion into territories closer to them. Though this issue was luckily solved quickly it was a scare within itself. Many now believe that soon a war may pursue the Peninsula, and that millions could die. Though a newly formed League of Peace has been created to uphold the peace as colonization continues. Us here at the Londinium Post are still hoping that the peace remain, and that blood does not cover the grounds.

Terrorist Wreak Havoc, Waters Soaked With Blood
By Cochardia
The following days have lead to bloody waters for Pontustan. Yesterday a large Cochardian ship, carrying hundreds of gallons of natural gas, docked at their capitol, Molcasa, was targeted by terrorist. The explosion rocked the port city killing a total of 467 people, and injuring and estimated 900. This recent attack has heard an outcry from the international community as the explosion has caused the destruction of much of the harbor, as well as causing a large environmental disaster for the waters around the capitol. Many nations have gone into action, offering their support to Pontustan at the recent attack. Cochardia, especially, has gone into helping the efforts to clean up the effects of this disaster, and support Pontustan, but can do little more. The whole world mourns at the recent attack, as many still continue the war on terrorism, a battle that almost seems futile. We all mourn for those attacked here at the Post, and wish those affected the best in their days of hardship.

Union Government Potentially in State of Decline
By Lady Cari
While anarchists rage with varying success against the individual governments of Londinium, the government of the Union itself faces its own struggle: apathy.
When the Union of Londinium was first formed, nations from all over were excited and eager to put in place a new order, under the leadership of Fortwhile. Bymaria and the New Democratic Party won by a landslide in the first election, and while not all the Upper House seats had been filled, there was no reason to think that the progress would slow down anytime soon.
However, disaster struck Londinium. Suddenly, nations that had joined the Union in its earliest days began to fade from existence. And a far fewer number of the new nations springing up seemed interested in the Union.
Blade Argentine, who spearheaded the alliance of The Northern Outskirts,* told the Post that such cycles are perfectly normal, especially in new regions. “The newness wears off after awhile, and those who were eager to build nations soon realize how much work is required. Some regions recover. Others fade into oblivion.”
A spokesperson from Londinium's founder, Fortwhile, had an optimistic outlook. “I don't think we are slowly dying,” he said. “It's normal for a region to kinda slow down a little bit after founding. I think things are going pretty well overall!”
“Apathy is deadly to international cooperation”, states Nonna Ferguson, Foreign Afffairs Minister for Lady Cari. “If we are to keep the Union thriving, we must all put our hands to the wheel and drive it ourselves. You don't get power by waiting for it to come to you by default. Okay, you can, but there's much less power by the time it gets to the passive leaders.”
She continued to urge Londinium's nations to get involved. “Right now we have several House of Lords seats just open for the taking. Seriously! Free power! Just declare that you want to run and you'll most likely get it, even should all the propaganda of Lady Cari be against you.”
Asked if she was basically saying that self-determination was the key to unity, which was the key to strength, Ferguson muttered “very funny” and hung up.
The Post will continue to keep you informed of the strength of the Union, and of opportunities to be a crucial force behind that strength.

Lady Cari Orders Construction of Wall
By Lady Cari
Dispatches from the Dominion of Lady Cari report that Lady Cari has personally ordered construction of a wall around her nation, to be dubbed "The Fourth Wall". She is reported to have said that "there shall be no breaking of the Fourth Wall. Those who break the Fourth Wall shall be executed."
National experts are currently confused by this move and by the name of the wall. When asked for comment, a Carian official simply said that Lady Cari's will was not to be questioned.

Anarchist Attacks Continue
Calfupanian Government Overthrown
Londinium has recently been under immense pressure following a series of anarchist attacks throughout the region.
Government inefficiency in Calfupan seems to have sparked a bloody revolution, as the anarchists make their first major advancements. From the 13th of October the nation has been plagued with riots, with violent clashes between the protesters (armed with assault guns) and the police. In a sudden, brutal frenzy rioters began to occupy key government buildings and public facilities demanding that the entire government dissolve. At exactly 17:45 yesterday, the presidential palace was stormed where the terrorists massacred everyone in the building. With the nation's leader declared dead the country was thus thrust into a state of anarchy. This weekend mania has prompted social and economic instability in Calfupan and the region is on high alert, yet to discover Calfupan's fate.
This horrific turn of events occurs not long after the car bombing in Lady Cari and plane crash in Interaria. The cause of the Hindenburg crash in the German Empire remains unknown, however police have captured some of the anarchist movement's leaders.
An administration spokesperson commented that the government is united in combating the anarchist rebellions and that it is "imperative for the region to stay strong in such times of crisis".

"Londinium has great weather" Say Experts
By Bymaria
A recent World Census report has concluded that Londinium ranks - on average - in the top 19% in terms of weather. Yawin, The United Barbaros and Bubonic island rank most highly. Prime Minister Bymaria commented "This is great news. I'm very glad to see that our nations benefit from such good weather and that we are setting an example in sustainability".
The recent World Census report also shows a correlation between environmental regulation and good weather - nations that ranked highly in weather also ranked highly in environmental beauty. Environmental activists are optimistic that these results will lead to subsequent policy changes and more environmental protection.
